How to use JoeyMate.
Step-by-step help for logging baby care, using timers, sharing updates with family, checking insights, and managing your account.
Getting started
Sign in and choose the baby profile.
Use the same login across web, iPhone and Android. Once you are in, JoeyMate opens to the baby care timeline.
Start using the app
- Open the app from your phone or go to app.joeymate.com.
- Sign in with your account details, or create an account if your family is new.
- Confirm the baby profile shown at the top of the app.
- Use the bottom tabs to move between Events, Family, Baby and More.
If a co-carer invited you, use the invite flow from their link or code so you join the correct shared family feed.
Daily care
Log feeds, nappies, sleep and custom events.
Quick actions are built for one-handed logging during busy care moments. You can add details straight away or edit the event later.
Add a care event
- Tap the plus button or a quick-log action on the Events screen.
- Choose the event type, such as bottle, breastfeed, sleep, wet nappy, medicine, note or custom event.
- Add the time, amount, side, duration, note or photo where needed.
- Tap save. The event appears in the shared timeline for approved family members.
Use custom events for moments that do not fit the standard categories, such as childcare updates, teething, appointments or milestones.
Timers
Track sleep as it happens.
Live timers help when you know something started but do not yet know the final duration.
Use a sleep timer
- Open Events and choose Sleep.
- Start the timer when the sleep begins.
- Leave the app or keep it open while the timer runs.
- Stop the timer when baby wakes, then save the sleep event.
If you forget to start or stop a timer, manually edit the event time before saving.
Family sharing
Invite trusted carers into the same record.
Partners, grandparents and trusted helpers can see shared updates without passing notes back and forth.
Invite a co-carer
- Open the Family tab.
- Choose Invite or share the invite code shown for your baby profile.
- Send the code or link to the trusted person.
- They sign in and join the shared feed for that baby.
Only invite people you trust with your child's care information. You can remove access from the family settings when needed.
Insights and routines
Review patterns, budget items and guided activities.
Use the extra tools when you want a broader view of routine, spending or age-appropriate activity ideas.
Baby budget
Use budget tools to record baby-related costs and compare them against your target. Add regular items as soon as you pay for them.
Guided exercises
Open exercises for movement ideas such as tummy time, reaching, balance and early play. Follow your healthcare professional's advice if your baby has specific needs.
Photos and notes
Add notes or photos to care records when context matters, such as a rash, medicine instruction, first food, milestone or childcare update.
Account and privacy
Manage your account from More.
The More screen contains profile, subscription, security, data export and account deletion tools.
Use account tools
- Profile photo: Update the image shown to your family.
- Change password: Set a new login password.
- Export account data: Download your family data as JSON.
- Delete account: Permanently remove your login and personal data.
- App passcode: Require a 4-digit code on this device.
Account deletion is permanent. Export your data first if you need a copy for your records.
Common questions
Fast fixes before contacting support.
I forgot my password.
Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen and enter your email address. Follow the reset instructions sent to your inbox.
I cannot see the right baby profile.
Check that you accepted the correct invite. Ask the family admin to resend the invite if your account is not connected to the baby profile.
Notifications are not arriving.
Check device notification permissions, then open More and confirm push notifications are enabled for JoeyMate.
Can I use JoeyMate for medical advice?
No. JoeyMate is a record-keeping tool. Speak with a qualified healthcare professional about health, development or medical concerns.
